Every year idol of ganesha is eco freindly made from cardboard,paper and rice water. Chana. moong, rajma, chavli etc pulses are uses.

50th year Dhanjiwadi Cha Raja, Malad

Shree Ashtavinayak Mitra Mandal, Dhanjiwadi, Malad

Eco friendly ganpati. The small idol is made up of silver. The immersion of ganesh idol is done in a tube pool. It is immersed with water, milk and panchamrut. It takes 6-7 hours for the idol to be fully immersed. Loved the concept here. It is traditional. They make khichdi and khadi everyday at the mandal. I loved what they are doing 🙂
