Khetwadi 2017, 12th lane’s idol is also known as Khetwadi cha Ganraj and it is worth visiting because of it’s decoration and idol.

For the purpose of public gathering, Lokmanya Tilak started public celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. 12th Khetwadi S.G.M. established their mandal in the year 1959. Year by year, the mandal made different kinds of idol of Ganesh as high as 28 to 35 feet. Mandal made the highest idol of Ganesh 40 feet high in Parshuram Avtar in the year 2000.

The decoration is awesome every year.

Last year they had mirror theme decoration.

In 2015 they had ice age theme and even the idol was very different in 2015.

Every year they are similar to Lalbaug Cha Raja 🙂

1 inch Ganpati, every year they have 1 inch Ganpati, building near 10th lane Ganpati 🙂

This year was the 75th year for Khetwadi Tulsi wadi building and the idol is made from dairymilk silk 😀

Last year they made the murti from 12,000 modaks weighing a total of 108kg.

In 2013, 3,00,000 artificial diamonds were used to make the Ganesha Idol.

Every year the idol has 21 faces, only this year the colour of the idol was bronze colour 😀
